You Are Good Enough

I am really inspired by this article written by Rebecca Mckown.
She talks about how to stop believing you're not good enough. Every one from time to time have that feeling of not being good enough. In Rebecca's article she clearly lay out how we are good enough.

Here are my tips for realizing that you are good enough.

  1. Focus on your strengths. The more you can stay focus on the God given resources you have and use them to fullest the happier you will become.
  2. There is beauty in imperfection. Learn to embrace it. We all know no one is perfect but some of us do not allow for imperfection in ourselves. Embrace your uniqueness. Who you are is good enough.
  3. You don't have to search any more. You have everything you need to succeed. Just surrender to what already exists.... You are an amazing person full of great potential. Allow yourself to flow into the person you know you are... Read and reread Rebecca Mckown's article until you know that you are good enough.

How To Get Back Up Again....

In order to achieve greatness you have to go through a lot of pain. There will be set backs but in order to achieve that success you have to push through. You are going to have to battle injury. -Jeremy McGarth

This is an inspiring 18 minutes Tedx Talks by Rodney Mullen. He talks about skateboarders and what they do is fall and get back up again. That is what shapes them. When a skateboarder fall every fiber of their being is telling them to quit and not get back up but they get back up and keep doing the same move over and over again until they land on their feet... Success... This sounds very much like life. Our environment is shaping us all the time and like skateboarders we get hurt, knocked down and many times discouraged but if we take the mindset of a skateboarder we will learn to pick ourselves up and keep going despite the pain and set backs.

This video is very inspirational. When you watch this video think about your own challenges and think about how this applies to you in your life. No matter what don't stop. Get back up and keep going. In the end you will land on your feet and achieve greatness.

My philosophy for a happy life

I really love this Tedx talk from a young man named Sam Berns. This is an amazing 12 minute talk and Sam is so inspirational. He was born with a rare disease call Progeria and despite his disease he has a wonderful out look on life. He talks about his challenges in wanting to play drums in his high school marching band. He eventually found a way to play in his band and he did amazing.

What I love about Sam Berns is that he learned at a very young age to focus on what he CAN do and not on what he can't do. He learned to focus on his passions and he also learned to be ok with what he can't do because there is so much he can do. This is a lesson we all need to learn. So many people get so weighed down with what they can't do or what they wish they had instead of focusing on what they CAN do and what they actually have.

The greatest lesson here is that if you focus on what you lack you will get more of what you lack. If you focus on the blessings you have you will get more blessings in your life. Sam Berns is proof of this fact. This is a very inspirational and encouraging video. I hope this video will inspire you to do great things in your life.

We Are What We Think..

This Tedx Talk is very inspirational and very helpful. This is an amazing 16 minute Tedx talk by Valerie Mason- John. I was deeply moved by this speech. She talks about how we are what we think and how we bully ourselves and others with our "stinking thinking". I can totally relate to her story. Her story is almost similar to my own and I too once believed the crap I was told as a child. Over the years I had to step- by- step train myself how to love myself and how to stop bullying myself with my "stinking thinking". She said stinking thinking are just stories we make up in our head.  We must care for ourselves and we must be mindful that we don't bully others with our stinking thinking.

This is one of the best Tedx talk that I have seen. I share this video in the hopes that it will help someone that is struggling with their past and the oppressive stinking thinking that hold us back. If she can over come and I can over come a horrendous past so can you. You have everything you need to succeed and if you struggle in seeing that please don't hesitate to ask for help.

You Have To Train Yourself To Be Positive

Getting Stuck In The Negatives and how to get unstuck..

This is a Tedx talk by Alison Ledgerwood. She gives a wonderful 10 minute talk about why we get stuck and how to become unstuck. In short being positive don't come easy and you have to train yourself to be positive. It takes work and it takes effort to be more positive. Alison talks about just writing what you are grateful for can boost your happiness and your health. I am a big advocate for keeping a journal. I would add keeping an Art journal can also boost your happiness and your health.

Remember bad tends to stick so train yourself to be more positive. If you are having a hard time training yourself to be positive look for a life coach or a trusted friend that can help you train yourself to be more positive.

Here are my simple tips to train yourself to be positive....

1)Be gentle with your self when you catch yourself being negative.
Training takes time.
2)Actively find things that put you in a good mood every day. Music and art
are my favorite.
3) Keep a journal. Writing or Art Journals have huge health benefits.
4) Find something new every day. You can add a description of what you
find in your journal.
5) If you are struggling to be positive find a great coach or friend that can help.
Last but not least
6) Don't take anything personal. This is the hardest tip but if you can
train yourself to not take anything personal you will find joy
that surpasses all understanding.

How to Programming your mind for success

Program your mind for success by Carrie Green.

This is a TEDx talk by Carrie Green. I love this video very much. In a very short talk Carrie brakes down how to program your mind for success in such a beautiful and easy to understand way. She talks about how to get your mind to be on the same wavelength as you and she also talks about how success is no accident you have to do it on purpose.

The steps are simple

1) Know exactly what you want.

2) Know why you want to achieve it.

3) know the type of person you need to
become in order to make it happen.

4) Program your mind to make it happen.

This can be applied to so many different things. As an Artist this has helped me out tremendously.
I love how Carrie shows clearly how success is no accident. If you are trying to accomplish any thing in your life or you want to become unstuck take a look at Carrie Green short speech.
